ReplyDeleteThank You Thank You Thank You! I was just starting to plan my son's HP party for this year, and you just made it so simple for me! :o)
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGryffindor is spelled wrong on one of the signs. I guess it's not a big deal:)How do you make the owl post signs on the invites? Or is there a link I'm not seeing to download them?
Both my teen daughters want to use these for Harry Potter parties this fall. Thanks so much!
OH. MY. GOSH. I so wish I had seen this before I threw my party. You are AMAZING! I miss you!
ReplyDeleteAbout the Gryffindor sign, I looked back and you are completely right. I can't fix it though, because I didn't make it. It came from the "coloring pages" I linked to...I just "jazzed it up". But still, very good to know.
ReplyDeleteAnd about the invitations. I will link them up, so you can use those as well.
SO, SO fun! Thanks for inviting us to such an awesome party!
ReplyDeleteWill you PLEASE e-mail the photos to me so I can post them on my blog? If you want, I will link back to your "Just Sweet & Simple" blog!
Awesome ideas! Thank you! I am using many of these for my son's party next week. And your invitations are by far the best I've seen (and I've been Googling away!). You mentioned that you were going to link them up...just curious to know if it'll be soon, seeing as how fantastic they are?!
ReplyDeleteThese are great ideas! My 10 yr old potterphile is a patient at Arkansas CHildren's Hospital awaiting a heart transplant, and I am going to surprise him by turning his hospital room into Hogwart's! He's going to flip!!! Thanks for the ideas :) ~on fb at Hope for Gabe <3

Best Harry Potter Party Ever! I'll be sharing this post on our blog at www.sixsistersstuff.com on Friday. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThis is just fantastic!!! My son is turning 11 and so wanted to do a "Welcome to Hogwarts" birthday, and you have given me such terrific ideas. I have one question, when I have tried to download the banners and signs etc. it says I need permission to access the google doc. Do you know what I need to do to download it? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteyou need to have a gmail account to access them
DeleteMillward Family...yes, you do need to have a gmail account to access them. But I also recently made them available to edit through google documents as well. That way you can make changes. I hope that helps!
DeleteWonderful! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteMomaich
I loved your ideas. I am in Brazil and doing a Harry Potter party here is presenting some challenges. The only things I couldn't use were the signs (they were in English and I don't know how to edit them). Thank you for all the pictures!
ReplyDeletewow! i have been searching for these kinds of ideas since then and I'm very very glad to find this site. I'm very grateful for the wonderful people behind this party ideas especially the party recipes. I'm planning to throw a party for my 20th bday! Hope it would be a great time since I will be no longer a teen! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE this party!!! My 10 year old daughter's party is in less than a week and I was FREAKING OUT until I found your post! Thank you SOOOOO much for posting all of the links and the printables!! They are just AMAZING and this party will be AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this party....I was wondering what font you used for the food labels?
ReplyDeleteFor the food label font, its a free font called Beyond Wonderland...you can get it here: http://www.1001fonts.com/font_details.html?font_id=2869. It is one of my favorites!
DeleteThank you so much for sharing the font name. BTW I have created a few HP items that you could share: https://www.scribd.com/collections/16786147/Harry-Potter
DeleteWhat is the link for the polly juice potion? Link is not there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the message about the Polyjuice Potion...I checked it out and there is some error...I'm not sure how long it has had the error, but I will fix it. So in the mean time here is the recipe:
Delete1- 16oz. Velveeta cheese (cut into small cubes),
1 or 2* can chili (I used Nalley or Hormel),
1 cup salsa,
1 tsp garlic powder,
1/2 tsp cumin,
1/2 tsp chili powder.
*It doesn't matter if you do one or two cans of chile, it really just depends if you want it thin or thick. I usually do 2 cans. It is always a hit.
Thanks! About the cool whip should it be a tub instead of tube? I got a tub but trying to figure out how much comes in a tube :) Thanks for all of this! Ready to enjoy it all this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteYes...tub! The regular size, 8 oz. tub. And any brand works! I'll have to fix the typo!
DeleteOh and just a guess but did you serve Polyjuice potion with chips?
ReplyDeleteYep Tortilla Chips!
DeleteOk, the link to the Polyjuice potion has been updated and fixed! Sorry for the mix up & thanks again to Leah for letting me know!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the wonderful ideas! I would like to print out the food labels but I can't seem to get the link to work. Are the labels still available for printing?
ReplyDeleteYes, the labels are still available and I just checked the link and it worked for me...but if it still isn't opening for you or you have any trouble, let me know I can email them to you.
DeleteColleen,
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind to add me to your post. Thanks for all your help and generosity! Your help made it much easier! Thanks!

Why isn't there a marauders map printable? It looked amazing, seriously, I must do this for my birthday...
ReplyDeleteSorry, I just noticed it was under signs...
DeleteNo worries! I'm just glad they were there...I've had a few problems with some missing links in the past so I always appreciate the heads up. But thanks again! and Happy Birthday!
Deleteactually the map is of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter not the merauders map. Just FYI
DeleteI love your ideas! Do you have a "blank" printable food sign? I'd love to use the idea, but I need to print out different food names. I already downloaded the "Beyond Wonderland" font.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that I do have a blank food sign, but I am actually on vacation and I don't have those files with me. I'm not sure how soon you need them, but Amanda, from kevinandamanda.com has this great Fall kit, and it has a digital scrapbook paper that would totally work in place of what I used. It is free and you can download the kit here: http://www.kevinandamanda.com/whatsnew/freebies/the-fall-collection-kit-a-digital-scrapbooking-freebie.html
DeleteI hope that helps and if not, let me know and I will upload the original when I return.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!! This is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing your great ideas and recipes!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome and thanks for the sweet comments!
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you thank you! Your blog gave me some great ideas, and your generously shared downloadable files saved me a ton of effort. My son declared his Harry Potter birthday party "The best party ever" and that is thanks in no small part to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I appreciate you comments and hope the party goes great!!!
DeleteI absolutely love the food labels. I tried to download the kit from kevinandamanda.com, I was successful, but I cannot figure out how to type text over the paper. I really love the butterbeer sign and bottle label, but wish I could get more than one on a page. Is there a way you could help me with that? Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteJ& M- For your question about typing over the papers you downloaded, it just depends on the program you open the paper files with. Do you have a picture editing program? It isn't as easy/user friendly, but you can open it in WORD or PAGES and then layer your typing over the picture. Or if none of those options work, you can print out the "paper background" then put that printed page back into your printer and reprint the typing over it...but that also can be a hassle. A picture editing program is your easiest, and lots of times they come on your computer. I hope that helps.
DeleteAbout the Butterbeer bottle label, to get more per page, again using a picture editing program, you can crop out the label then copy and past it, making more per page. I will though, try and make one up for you. And I can upload it here. I'll let you know when it is done!
J&M- Okay, I hope this helps...I just uploaded a link for a page of blank food labels (hopefully it will make it a few steps easier to type over them). And I also uploaded a page of Butterbeer Labels, they only fit 2 per page. But it's better than 1. I hope that helps and thanks for your interest and comments. Good luck with whatever Harry Potter Celebration you are doing.
ReplyDelete*And I am hosting a Harry Potter Mystery Dinner in a few weeks, so check back for a whole lot more Harry Potter Party ideas, printables, and Mystery Dinner.
Colleen! I am so grateful! Thank you thank you thank you! Perfect! We are having my son's 7th Birthday Harry Potter style! I will check back!
ReplyDeleteHi,I love the site! Your party ideas are so wonderful! Thank you! I am trying to download the blank labels and I am not able to open them in google docs. Can you please help me?
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Thanks for your comment Jennifer. I have had a few other email recently with similar problems or not having a Google account. Since I am not sure of the computer programs you have nor your computer skills, I am going to give you a few ideas and I hope one of them will help!
DeleteSo I put two Blank Food Labels above and you can just click on them as save them to your computer. They are JPEGs so, depending on the programs you have on your computer, you can either add text through a photo editing program, or you can open it in Word or Pages, then add text over it. Or you can print them out blank...then type up your food names in Word/Pages, then print directly on the already printed out Blank Food Labels. I hope that helps.
Hi!! I absolutely am loving your site & this Harry Potter party in particular! I'm trying to throw my daughter a party in 2 weeks (no time!) and this is going to help me tremendously!! I'm able to download all freebies, except the "Food, Cupcake and Drink Labels". Can you help me out on that? Maybe email directly to me?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Mary Beth
Hey Mary Beth. Thanks for your sweet comments and I did just update the Food, Cupcake & Drink Labels link. Since, a few of the downloads through Google Docs have been fickle I just uploaded it through Media Fire. Go ahead and try and download them again, but if for any reason it still doesn't work or you have problems, let me know and I would be more than happy to email it to you. Also, I have more printables at the Harry Potter Mystery Dinner Party post, found here: http://www.justsweetandsimple.blogspot.com/2012/11/harry-potter-mystery-dinner-party.html.
DeleteI hope that helps and good luck with your Party!!!
-Colleen
This is awesome - thanks for sharing! I can't get the link for the Food, Cupcake, and Drink labels to work - is this also a Google Doc or something else?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Jen
Jen, Thanks for letting me know about the Food, Cupcake, and Drink labels...I checked the link and it seems to be working. It is through MediaFire and you have to click the download button. If it still doesn't seem to work here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?7j42yyc9yasz3fu
